Battle of Crete 2001

One of the upmost chess tournaments in Greece is the International Chess Tournament, that AO KYDON is organising every year since 1991, and every year a lot of upmost chessplayers from whole world are participating in it! This year, the 11th International Chess Tournament "Battle of the Crete" is going to take place 20th-22th September 2001, in hotel CRETA STAR. In this International rapid tournament, there are high prizes for the winners. The system of the games is 11 round rapid Swiss, with 20 minutes per player, plus 10 seconds per move for all the game. The prizes are: 1st 250.000 drs, 2nd 150.000 drs, 3rd 100.000 drs, 4th 50.000 drs, 5th 50.000 drs, 6th 30.000, 7th 20.000 8th 20.000 drs. 1st woman 70.000 drs. 1st junior 30.000 drs
